Auxiiary President Vicki Krug
Paul served 20 years in the U.S. Navy as an Electronics Tech. He's been a member of Post 943 since 1993 where he was a Service Guest until 2003. From there until 2006 he was a Mens Auxillary member until becoming a Regular member. He also belongs to The American Legion and The Army Navy Union. Paul has served our post as the SR. Vice Commander and is the current Judge Advocate.
Senior Vice Dennis Densmore
Dennis served in the U.S. Army from 1971-1974 with an M.O.S. of Artillery, with a tour in Korea in 1972. Denny's been a member of Post 943 since 2008 where he's served as Sr. Vice Commander, a member of the Canteen Board.
Mike served in the U.S. Navy from 1958-1968 with a tour in Vietnam. Mike's been a lifetime member of Post 943 since 2006 where he's served as Trustee, a member of the Canteen Board, and current Quarter Master.
Bob served in the U.S. Air Force from 1967-1971 as an Air Frame Repairman with a tour of Vietnam. Bob's been a Post 943 member since 1971 and a lifetime member since 1996. He's served as a Post Commander and is the current Jr. Vice. Bob's also a lifetime member of the American Legion and the Army Navy Union.
Commander Barry Meadors
Barry served in the U.S. Navy from 1987-2007 as a Machinist retiring as a Chief Machinist. Barry's been a member of Post 943 for 3 years and served as Senior and Jr. Vice Commander.
Luke is a retired Sailor that served from 1984 to 2005. During this time he deployed to Desert Shield/Storm and 8 other tours in the Persian Gulf. Luke is a Life Member of the VFW and past Commander of Ashtabula Post 943. He has severed in various positions within the Post and Ohio VFW District 7.
Vicki B. Krug is our 2016-2017 Auxilliary President and resides in Saybrook Township with her husband, John.
Vicki joined Auxiliary 943 in 1996. Her eligibility comes from her late father, Dee W. Hall, a navy Machinist Motor Mate aboard the USS Thomas Jefferson (APA-30), an attack transport. Hall, a WWII veteran, survived the first assault waves on the beaches of Normandy, D-Day June 6, 1944.
Vicki has held several offices and many chairmanships within Auxiliary 943. Elected president in 2001, she continued to hold that esteemed office for 5 consecutive terms. She became an Auxiliary Life Member in 2002 and in 2003 became a Life Member of the VFW National Home for Children. She was again elected President in 2008 and holds that office to date.
In 2009 Vicki was given the high honor of being the Dept. of Ohio Auxiliary Presidents’ page during the Mid-Winter Conference. She also, that same year, received the award for Outstanding Auxiliary President. Vicki was elected as Outstanding President runner-up in 2011-2012, Exceptional President in 2012-2013, and Outstanding President Membership Group 5 in 2014-2015. She also held the chairmanship of Americanism and Cancer Aid &Research on the District level.
